We are currently seeking a dynamic, exceptionally talented DIRECTOR OF MARKETING to join our food and beverage operations teams at THE MOUNTAIN WINERY in scenic SARATOGA, CALIFORNIA.
The Mountain Winery is one of the most magnificent and captivating historical sites in the country. Established by Paul Masson, this incomparable property is located high atop the Silicon Valley. The beautiful vistas and unique buildings are ideally suited to provide the perfect setting for a wide variety of events including weddings, corporate meetings, dinner parties and other special events. The breathtaking view is complimented by landscaped gardens and redwoos groves, and is perfect for outdoor events. Events hosted indoors are celebrated in the historic Chateau or amid oak casks in the historic stone-masonry Winery building. The DIRECTOR OF MARKETING role is critical to the continuing success and growth of The Mountain WInery's concerts, corporate and social events. The successful candidate will work as part of the Event Operations and Sales team, and will report directly to the General Manager. Essential functions include:
* Developing, implementing and managing the demand generation and deliverables for the concert series, corporate and social events, and communication of the venue's historic background.
* Working closely with the General Manager on demand generation timeline, event messaging, and event deliverables to drive attendee targets.
* Creating marketing messages, and scripts for telemarketing and sales managers to bring awareness and interesrt to The Mountain Winery.
* Creating, proofing, and editing of marketing communications, including print pieces, email blasts, ads, and direct communications.
* Interacting closely with the sales team to create event field flashes for sales organization and continuous event updates. Ability to work with outside contractors in supporting the event look and maximize interest. Manage advertising, including printed materials, newspapers, magazines and online website's messaging.
The candidate must have the ability to fulfill ad-hoc event management roles as part of the overall concert, corporate ad social events calendar. This may include content and speaker management, event logistics management, signage and creative, registration management. Experience in any of these supplementary roles is a distinct advantage.
