Director, Sales Planning & Analysis
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, a division of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, is a premier worldwide publisher, developer, licensor and distributor of entertainment content for the interactive space across all current and future platforms, including console, handheld and PC-based gaming for both internal and third party game titles.
We are currently looking for a Director, Sales Planning & Analysis to join our WBIE team in Burbank. Responsibilities include worldwide rollup of all sales and industry reporting and analysis. Position will provide review and insight into data along with recommended actions and strategies, ensure all territory, regional and worldwide reporting and analysis processes and formats are consistent to ensure data can be viewed consistently across all markets.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate weekly rollup of by title, by platform sales forecast across all regions in summary format. Provide analysis of current status including where weaknesses and strengths are and prepare recommended actions. Distribute as required to internal & external parties.
Coordinate weekly sell through data across all regions with updated forecast versus current financial forecast. Provide recommended changes in the forecast for review with EVP prior to submission to finance. Distribute as required to internal and external parties
§ Provide WBIE Finance with changes in estimated shipments, sell off and forecasts across all regions to ensure WBIE financial forecasts are accurate and timely.
§ Work with Category Management, local analysts and WBIE sales and marketing groups in each region and key territory to review and provide summary analysis of industry issues and opportunities along with supporting data including competitive titles, retailers and related entities. Summarize into monthly report for executive management.
§ Coordinate rollup of ww trade advertising proposals, approved budgets, actual commitments and actual expenditures. Update finance with changes as required.
§ Oversee forecasting and competitive title process across all regions to ensure consistency across all territories in process, comp titles and methodology. Prepare analysis of any variances.
§ Coordinate ad hoc projects for EVP including MIS projects, distribution agreements, operations issues etc.
§ Create, modify and approve as required all ww sales analysis and reporting processes and templates
Requirements:
§ 5-10 years in working with collection of data using excel, access and other standard applications
§ 4-6 years in a mid management role with responsibility for analyzing sales and financial information and providing summary analysis and recommendations
§ 3-5 years in working with income statements, balance sheets etc.
§ 3-5 years working with industry data from various sources including internal, syndicated and ad hoc including collection, summarization and interpretation
§ Demonstrated experience in process management
§ At minimum, a degree in finance or business administration. Prefer MBA or equivalent.
§ Strong skill set in creating data bases, templates, reporting mechanism etc.
§ Experience with applications including excel, access, Business Objects, SAP CRM, Siebel CRM etc.
§ Minimal travel could be required
§ Flexibility to work with world wide contacts during their time zones
