Water Resource Engineer - PE

Some responsibilities may include working as the project engineer, technical lead, and/or project manager on water resources projects; directing and supervising project staff on tasks; attending client meetings and interacting with clients; preparing reports and other project documents; and quality control tasks.  Travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering, and at least eight years of relevant work experience with the design of water resources or civil structures.  Professional registration as an engineer in any state with the ability to obtain registration in WI, MN, CA, OR, and/or WA within one year of hire date is also required.

Ideal candidates will have any/all of the following: experience as a project engineer and/or project manager on civil engineering projects; experience working directly with clients regarding projects; experience preparing various written documentation related to civil engineering projects; experience designing water-retaining structures; familiarity with engineering design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents; familiarity/knowledge of CAD for design and plan development. Ideal candidates will also be self-motivated; able to handle a fast-paced position; able to work well under pressure; goal- and deadline- oriented; possess good writing, organizational, and communication skills; have good problem-solving abilities; good interpersonal skills. The ability to temporarily work in other office locations is a plus.
