THE NEED

We are seeking a Transportation Design Engineer / Transportation Project Engineer for their office in the Olympia, Washington area.  The company continues to win numerous transportation projects in the area and needs to expand their staff.  The successful candidate with be responsible for providing transportation engineering and/or planning for various transportation and public works design projects, performing transportation design, and preparing plans, specifications and estimates.  This position is part of an existing dynamic transportation design team that has a tremendous backlog of interesting projects.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have a proven track record providing transportation engineering. We want a highly motivated individual with a BSCE degree, 6-10 years of stable experience in all aspects of transportation project design, including geometric, roadway, drainage, traffic and utility design. Excellent project management skills, along with strong verbal and written communication to manage client development are essential.  The position requires a PE (WA) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.  Proficient use of Microstation and Inroads or Geopak software is highly desirable.  The right engineer will have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff of all levels.  There is an excellent total compensation and benefit package waiting for you.
