Senior Design Engineer

Minimum of six years of mechanical design specifically with rotating/reciprocating machinery. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and assembly processes. Two years minimum experience with a solid-modeling CAD software package. Demonstrated proficiency in technical and organizational assignments. Ability to direct activities of other Engineering personnel, in particular other Design Engineers and Product Designers. Demonstrated proficiency performing complex design calculations and experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M. Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills Experience using FEA, preferably ANSYS or Pro/Mechanica. Knowledge and experience in the use of rapid prototype techniques. Experience interfacing with manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, and customers and the ability to mentor others in the engineering organization.

Design skills, engine knowledge, procedures to create new product designs, product assemblies, and solve design-related problems. Work with development engineers, product designers, other design engineers, manufacturing, purchasing, application engineering, marketing, service, contracted engineering consultants, and suppliers to procure prototype hardware for design verification, production release, and trouble-shooting production and field service type problems. Work closely with technical and cross-functional personnel to develop technical requirements. Prepare and lead design reviews of work products. Will require occasional domestic and international travel.
