Process Mechcanical Designer
System One is looking for a dynamic person to stand as a Process Mechanical Designer for Municipal and Industrial projects in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. This position will responsible for producing drawings, layouts, specifications and designs under the supervision of engineer or senior designers using basic design and engineering principles. You will work in a 2D and 3D environment using full MicroStation capabilities, review drawings prepared by engineering technicians for compliance with design. In addition to Process Piping design responsibilities, will serve as a lead technician for medium to large-sized projects (50 to 300 sheets). The successful candidate will serve as a process mechanical designer, responsible for production of process mechanical drawings, and as a lead technician of multidiscipline projects.Basic Qualifications:· Basic understanding of process piping design practice· 8 years experience· Working knowledge of CAD, database and CAE functionality· MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience· Requires a basic understanding of materials, specifications, field and construction practices, fabrication, and codes relevant to process piping design.· Leadership skills, good oral and written communication required Preferred Qualifications:· AA/AS Degree in Engineering Technology· Experience desired between 8 to 10 years of Water and Wastewater Treatment process mechanical experience or equivalent· Proficiency with MicroStation 2D/3D and/or AutoCAD 2D/3D· Ability to develop original layout with minimal direction desired· Ability to perform advanced or complex calculations desired.
