Mechanical Engineer
Intertractor America Corp. is an industry leader in design, manufacture, assembly and supply of crawler track undercarriage components and track frame assemblies to OEM construction equipment manufacturers.
Intertractor is seeking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to our Design and Engineering team in Elkhorn, WI. This position will focus on innovative designs of crawler type undercarriage sideframes from concept to production launch, bills of materials, parts manuals, in addition to interfacing with manufacturing, vendors, and customers.
Candidates must have strong communication skills and desire to participate in a dynamic team environment. Additionally, they must posses willingness to support all technical programs, provide data relating to design effort, and respond to requested proposed changes resulting from technical assessments regarding impact on design, cost versus performance benefits, etc.
Required qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years engineering experience with metal fabrication (forming, machining, and welding).
- Must be proficient in solid part/assembly modeling with Pro-E and AutoCAD
- Experience with creation of 2-D and 3-D design drawings.
- Creation of bills-of-material
- Computer skills: MS office, Pro-E, AutoCAD, AS400/BPCS is a plus- Capable of overseeing various project phases including design, debug (including solutions for vendors and in-house assembly), and required documentation and control.
