Help support our DOE client in providing solutions to our nation's energy crisis!EG&G, a division of URS Corporation, a FORTUNE 500 company, has an excellent career opportunity to support DOE's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) Energy Infrastructure Analysis Team.Must have B.S. in Engineering, Technical Sciences, Computer Science or related field with 4 years experience (higher education can be considered in lieu of work experience) utilizing GIS skills to support DOE's response to energy emergencies and exercises.Must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to manipulate large spreadsheet files with complex data sets to provide analysis for natural gas, petroleum and electrical infrastructures. Working knowledge of mechanical systems to provide support for electricity, natural gas and oil delivery system response and recovery analysis are essential for the success of this position. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Position requires U.S. Citizenship.Position may require the ability to pass/maintain a security clearance. Job Description : The Energy Assurance Analyst will be provide energy, emergency, exercise, and future capability building support to DOE headquarters and field personnel in the form of data, analysis and visualization of the energy infrastructure. This position is located at the National Energy Technology Laboratory in Morgantown, WV.Primary responsibilities will include: Collecting and analyzing data, developing and improving processes, supporting database development and administration and variety of other GIS related activities; Supporting the development and maintenance of a Gulf-of-Mexico oil infrastructure connectivity tool, as well as the development of data analysis and visualization capabilities for natural gas and electricity infrastructures.EG&G offers its employees a competitive salary and cafeteria style benefits package that includes matching 401k, employee stock purchase plan and educational assistance programs.This position may qualify for relocation assistance. : : EOE M/F/D/V
