Your Ingenuity is welcome!This position involves working as a member of the Building Efficiencies Security Solutions Products team.  The position performs a full range of design work using advanced techniques and methodologies.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Requires knowledge of assembly processes, manufacturing processes and paperwork flow. · Provides manufacturing support.  This requires product knowledge with "on the spot" problem solving ability. · Generates Engineering Change (EC) documents for factories. · Develops department procedures, provides technical training, follow standard processes. · Uses ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. · Generates material requirements and requisitions based upon engineering product definitions.  Maintains bills of material and performance database updates.  Recommends improvements to existing procedures. · Has knowledge of and some experience with mechanical, electrical, structural and PCB design methods. · Has the ability to reuse existing design work and practices. · Applies statistical analysis tools. · Has a basic understanding of business practices. · Provides routine support to other teams and suppliers. · Provides support ot internal customers and business units. · Forecasts work, resources and tools. · Defines and develops best-practices and innovative processes.   1.  Associated degree or equivalent in either mechanical or electrical disciplines. 2.  At least 4 years experience. 3.  Detail oriented. 4.  Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.     Desired experiences: 1.  Pro-Engineer and Mentor graphics design tools. 2.  SLA modeling. 3.  Component supplier interfacing. 4.  Service provider interfacing.
