Perform design calculations (appropriate to discipline), conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design drawings and/or specifications. Skill set should include functional ability on CADD. Inspects and documents individual activities performed by the contractor in order to monitor compliance with specifications, plans, and other contract provisions, as well as state and local regulations. Candidate will work closely with experienced field engineers on various field projects in order to develop field experience in techniques, approaches, and procedures and the nature of engineering systems, equipment, etc. Perform design calculations, quantity estimates, detailing, check calculations and drawings, perform specific short term design applications and organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments. Candidate gains exposure to construction procedures and methodology by assisting experienced field engineers on various construction tasks including keeping Inspectors Daily Report of assigned work activities. Perform mathematical calculations for quantity payments using either English or Metric units. Reads and interprets schedule. Performs testing and monitoring services. Coordinates and schedules quality control inspections, Maintains project data documents, including drawings, specifications, test results and reports. Prepares routine reports on construction progress.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering Familiarity with Microstation and INRoads a plus.
