Substation Maintenance Specialist
The Substation Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the planning, prioritizing and completion of the substation maintenance and inspection work plan for the region.
Support the development of uniform substation inspection and maintenance practices for the ATC under the direction of the Manager of Substation Maintenance.
Generate and direct a regional work plan based upon the substation maintenance and inspection program and cost estimates.
Develop and prioritize regional work plan based on consideration of budget and substation needs.
Work with LDC crews to execute the work plan and review charges for work completed.
Provide direction to LDC crews as needed.
As asset managers, maintain a working knowledge of the condition of the assets and proactively work within the ATC to ensure aging infrastructure is appropriately managed.
Experience: Must be familiar with substation inspection and maintenance practices.
Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) preferred, but not required.
