PURPOSE AND MISSION:

 

NRECA is currently seeking a Sr. Business Analyst in IT to help support our efforts with the Insurance & Financial Services (I&FS) Department. As such, the incumbent must possess a good understanding of the business and their applications, tenacity for application problem solving, and a solid work ethic.

 

The incumbent will be responsible for one or more of the following, and often serving multiple roles concurrently:

 Lead and participate in activities related to business process modeling, system requirements gathering and analysis, “system Use Case” development, and functional design documentsCollect and model business architecture material, such as business strategy, business processes, common strategic business requirements, and associated metadataTranslate functional requirements into detailed system requirementsAssist review of functional requirements with business and IT architects and software developersAbility to understand customer requirements and IT systemsCollaborate with project manager, other business analysts, developers and system testers

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 BS degree in Business Administration, Management Science, Computer Science or related field5-10 years of relevant business analyst experience is requiredExperience working with customers Effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiencesPrepares and delivers technical presentations for business audiencesExperience measuring performance and scalability of applicationsUnderstanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Knowledge of MS Windows and Office applications and Windows Development environments (.Net, C#, Visual Studio)Knowledge of Windows Server Products (Sharepoint, Content Management Server, Biztalk), a plusUnderstand waterfall and agile development methodologiesBusiness experience in Employee Benefits, Financial/Banking industry, Healthcare, and/or Associations a plus
