Manager, Operational Sourcing
The primary responsibility of the Manager - Operational Sourcing is to provide strategic leadership and management to the overall direction of the operational sourcing team and to effectively manage the processes relative to the sourcing of goods and services valued up to $100 million annually.
The Manager, Operational Sourcing has overall responsibility for partnering with various department leaders in developing and managing sourcing alliances for project related products and services of operational importance to the company, IT product procurement, contract management to maximize supplier performance, budget and financial management, and departmental metrics/scorecard reporting management.
• Direct overall management of the Operational Supply Chain group and its integrated role throughout the company.
• Develop, implement and integrate a forward-looking, 3 to 5 year operational sourcing and planning process to effectively provide for and support the materials requirements of current and future construction projects.
• Manage the Oracle I-procurement processes, all related corporate training and administrative elements of purchase order creation, portal functionality, and supplier coordination.
• Implement effective construction project sourcing strategies, track and expedite critical material delivery, manage logistics and perform analyses demonstrating efficiency to internal service partners.
• Manage the gathering, interpretation and application of industry benchmarks to strengthen operational performance and demonstrate sourcing effectiveness.
• Adept in commercial and contractual negotiations. Ability to lead contract negotiations with potential vendors, close transactions to advance the business agenda and direct new partner activities to complete projects effectively, efficiently and consistent within project management guidelines.
• Manage general vendor relationships and effectively partner with internal business teams.
• Establish, implement and manage department-wide metrics reporting, supplier performance program, contract management systems, processes and training, including evaluation of program results and the balancing of quality, performance and cost.
• Manage the department budget and financial controls.
• Promotes and supports diversity initiatives and equal employment opportunity.
• Demonstrates leadership in employee, contractor and public safety.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field is required.
MBA is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Executive, administrative or clerical position in which employee is primarily involved with sedentary work, including keyboarding.
• Requires occasional lifting objects 10 to 15 pounds and/or light physical activity including bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, reaching, walking, standing and working on irregular surfaces.
