It all starts here, with you.Dominion is seeking a highly motivated individual with demonstrated leadership experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills for our Manager - Nuclear Emergency Preparedness position. The selected candidate will lead the Emergency Preparedness effort at the Surry and North Anna Nuclear Power Stations and provide support for the nuclear fleet as required. This individual will be responsible for the following duties.· Manage, negotiate and recommend strategic initiatives for the development, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of onsite and/or offsite radiological Emergency Response plans and programs, to ensure compliance with regulatory, government and company requirements and guidelines.· Assist with the development of the department's budget and monitors expenditures to ensure conformance.· Maintain, grow and leverag strategic relationships with key station (onsite) management, local and state(s) Emergency Management program (offsite) management, and federal agency NEP representatives for the advancement of joint NEP goals.· Meet or exceed established NEP Company strategic goals and regulations.· Will organize, plan, control and evaluate onsite/offsite goals and objectives generally limited to a one year planning horizon.· Maintain industry contacts via communications, benchmarking or other means in order to identify and implement Dominion NEP continuous improvement opportunities.· Responsible for managing all aspects of the program to maintain the licensing commitments required by 10CFR50.47(b) and App. E.· Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Emergency Preparedness staff in all areas of support, which includes On-site and Off-site programs.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences.· Strong plant background and knowledge demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations for emergency response plans and programs.· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals both internal and external to the company.· Critical thinking and negotiation skills. Demonstrates good planning skills.· Critical, analytical and abstract thinking skills required.· Demonstrated leadership capabilities for managing diverse groups.· Prior managerial experience, in Emergency Preparedness at a commercial nuclear power facility, is desired.· Ability to act with wide latitude in fulfilling position accountabilities which keeping senior management informed on serious or high-risk matters.· Ability to create win-win solutions between station and various offsite NEP state/federal agencies.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for preferred education. Discipline(s): Business, Engineering, Physical Science, Health Physics, Safety.Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
Working Conditions:
76% - 100% - Office Work Environment; Other Conditions: External Contacts: Include local, state, or federal governments and agencies, peers with nuclear industry and Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Inspectors.

Must meet applicable location specific minimum education, experience, certification and training requirements specified by the American National Standard Industrial (ANSI) for the qualification and training of nuclear power plant personnel.
