Responsibilities for this position include the following: Design, develop, modify, and evaluate systems, processes, or facilities to support Company objectives, utilizing engineering methods. Develop highly complex engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and equipment and process performance assessments.. Act as a lead expert in the work group; train and mentor associate and career level engineers, technicians/craftsmen and drafters. Recommend alternative engineering solutions to management to meet business needs. Deliver on commitments and manage outside engineering and contractor services to accomplish the assigned work. Execute projects while maintaining schedule and budgets. Analyze and design engineering methods. Requirements for this position include the following: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five years of engineering work experience (Will consider candidates with less than five years experience; compensation will be commensurate with appropriate grade level). Demonstrated knowledge and application of principles in area of engineering specialty. Proficient with the use of personal computers including automated tools.Preferences: Mechanical Engineering Degree Professional Engineer (PE) certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Advanced degree. A minimum of five years of engineering work experience in related industry with experience in inspection and maintenance of high energy piping, maintenance of large rotating equipment and or process engineering. Understanding of Company’s business, and relevant policies, procedures, and practices. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations and appropriate codes. Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness. Ability to provide timely completion of assignments with limited information and/or assumptions. Project management and leadership skills including the ability to work as a team member, to maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to work cross-functionally to understand requirements, present alternatives, and recommendations.**Will consider candidates with less than five years experience; compensation will be commensurate with appropriate grade level.** All offers of employment contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
