Engineers, scientists, technicians and business professionals can make their careers at Baker Hughes in research, development, manufacturing, field operations, sales, finance, IT, marketing and human resources. Baker Atlas, a division of Baker Hughes, has an immediate opening for an Electronic Technician. Entry Level. Responsibilities:  General Duties   Troubleshoot, test, and assemble electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies Work with District Manager to complete Preventative Maintenance and repair of electronic downhole equipment. Work with District Manager on job scheduling and equipment needed. Maintain positive customer relationship (internal and external) Training and mentoring new employees. Accurate/timely timesheets   Safety/Compliance Technical/site specific HSE training Driving HSE culture/behavior Operate company vehicles in a safe, responsible manner. Maintain safe and organized work area  Technical Operations Maintain records and communicate as required. Document local modifications Purchasing inventory parts and supplies Seek process improvements for job/operations/cost efficiency without compromising quality, safety, or performance. Provide technical assistance to operations. Provide wellsite troubleshooting and technical assistance, as required. Upkeep of electronic test equipment Prepare equipment for electronic repair Install software Maintain and repair surface and downhole equipment as per Baker Atlas specifications and within the demands of operations  Skill Requirements:  Ability to perform component level electronic troubleshooting General knowledge of digital/analog circuit theory Basic skills on soldering and assembling of electronic components Proficient in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other basic instruments Ability to read and interpret, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, electronic schematics, and parts lists. Education/Experience: Minimum 2 year training in Electronics repair. (Tech School or trade school) or equivalent 2 years training from the military or other industry training program.
