Description of the Position for Lead Engineer:

The primary task will be to provide Lead Technical Support for switchyard renovation and interface projects at North Anna and Kewaunee Power Stations.  This scope includes the following responsibilities.Work closely with the assigned Project Manager to provide lead technical supportProvide owner's reviews of Architect Engineer products, including scopes of work, design change packages, drawings, calculations, technical reports, studies and specifications Work closely with Dominion Electric Transmission and Distribution and with the rest of the project teamProvide technical support in meetings with the local Regional Transmission Operator (RTO), the Dominion System Operation Center in Virginia or ATC in Wisconsin Identification of NRC, FERC and industry information for assigned projectsResearch and assemble industry related information on assigned projects Provide technical review of vendor proposalsProvide timely and event free implementation support of modifications 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:Four year accredited engineering degree (electrical preferred) or equivalent engineering experience Ten years related experienceKnowledge of electrical power engineering theories, principles, standards and concepts.  Knowledge and experience in the following areas is desirable:Protective relays and controls design and settingHigh voltage electrical equipmentHigh voltage electrical system operation and stabilityFault current and load flow studies and calculationsIndustry codes, government regulations, and company policies and practicesGood overall understanding of nuclear power plant operations, maintenance, licensing, and engineering
