Crescent Electric Supply Co (CESCO) has an opening for a District Manager in Madison, WI. CESCO was founded in 1919 and is one of the largest electrical distributors in the United States. Crescent Electric Supply is a full-line distributor of electrical, electronic, automation and voice data products with 120 locations throughout 25 states.  Our success stems from long-term growth as a result of total customer satisfaction, teamwork, and overall commitment to being one of the leading distributors of quality products through value added services.  Our end customers range from Electrical Contractors, Industrial OEM & MRO customers to Commercial, Institutional, Educational and Government entities.

 

 

The District Manager is responsible for the overall market position, profitability, and growth of the district.  Responsibilities include:Determining customer segment focusManaging income statements and balance sheets – P & L.Recruiting, training, and motivating personnelLeveraging efficiencies with marketing programs and operational requirements Create a proper work environment for all personnelBuilding and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with customers and vendorsCreating annual business plans and budgetsSetting financial and operational goals for senior staffDirecting and coordinating sales efforts throughout the district, assisting in account development, and presentations to secure business

 

We require previous sales experience, at least 4 years of previous Management/Sales Management experience, knowledge of electrical distribution processes and procedures, and human relations skills.  Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Candidates must have the ability to lead and motivate personnel, work effectively with others, solve problems, and direct and delegate the work of others.  PC skills are a must.
