Chemistry Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

 

This position plans, organizes, and manages the activities of personnel support of the Chemistry, Environmental, and REMP Programs, and the operations of lab facilities to ensure that the chemical analysis, monitoring, control and treatment of plant water and water treatment facilities are in compliance with all applicable licensing, regulatory, and corporate requirements. Responsible for directing chemistry activities to ensure adequate protection for plant systems to minimize corrosion, as well as radiation field buildup. Responsible for managing the performance and providing proper training and development for Chemistry personnel.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Science or Engineering. Must have five years experience in chemistry of which a minimum of one year shall be in radiochemistry. A minimum of two years of this five years experience should be related technical training. A maximum of four years of this five years experience may be fulfilled by related technical or academic training. The one year of experience in radiochemistry can be delegated to a qualified person until such time that the manager has gained the required one year of radiochemistry experience. Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience in working with diverse groups to accomplish company or broad-ranged objectives. Meets ANSI 18.1-1971.
