Business Sales Manager (TSR - Fossil)

Alstom Power Inc., a global leader and provider of power generation engineering products and services, is seeking a Business Sales Manager for its expanding Turbomachines Group based at our Richmond, VA location.   Basic FunctionsThe individual will be responsible for the development of business opportunities for Turbomachinery and will be part of an international sales and proposal development team for US and Canadian-based customers with members of the team across the global Alstom network in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, China and Poland. Essential FunctionsThe Business Sales Manager is responsible for:  Business development     Order in-take and margins    Entire sales process, including, but not limited to:· Business development activities and pre-acquisition strategies based on a good knowledge of the assigned territory and the ability to influence specifications, as appropriate Represent ALSTOM to customers at mid-management level.  Capability to listen to customer requests, identify winning criteria and describe possible technical solutions.  Project identification  Screening and budget processes for approval by ALSTOM management at all levels  Lead the project related bidding process both internally and externally within the sales community  Bid coordination, preparation and submittal  Negotiations  Project hand-over to the execution center EducationBS degree mechanical or electrical engineering or related technical field with applicable experience  Skills/Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in technical sales in either new equipment or service organizations.
