It all starts here, with you.You will provide land duties in support of the Nothern West Virginia drilling program to include the following: acquire leases, road and pipeline rights-of-way, compressor and meter sites; acquire approval of well sites from state well inspector and acquire approval of well sites from coal companies, where required. You will negotiate and settle surface damage claims, provide title curative and provide land information for drilling permits. In addition, you will coordinate work of brokers in checking records titles and abstracts. You will obtain information regarding land ownership and availability of leases in the field and acquire oil and gas leases. Research in-house ownership records. Responsible for the assembly of data in connection with rental calendars.QualificationsYou must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to negotiate with landowners and coal companies. A complete understanding of Appalachian Basin Land Practices including, but not limited to oil and gas leasing and ownership, courthouse research, document preparation and title curative is required. MYou must be able to communicate and work closely with Geology, Engineering and Production departments. This position requires that you be computer literate with the ability to learn Tobin and FileNet.


B.S. in Petroleum Land Management, Business or related field is desired.  A combination of education and experience may be considered, i.e., three years of Appalachian Basin experience with a bachelors degree or five years Appalachian experience without a degree.
