Sr. UPS Field Service Representative

The Services Team works on electrical and automation control equipment and provides onsite repair and maintenance, custom equipment design, wiring, installation & testing, and start-up & commissioning of Schneider Electric equipment. We have 24 service districts that provide opportunities all across the United States. Job Responsibilities: Perform field service of Industrial and Commercial Grade Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems (UPS), Rectifiers, Inverters, and Static Switch Systems. Experience on Gutor, LTI Power Systems, Cyberex, Solidstate Controls, Custom Power and other UPS Manufacturers preferred. Experience on Variable Frequency Drives and DC Battery Plant Systems a plus. Must have a minimum of 5-10 years verifiable experience in the Critical Power Systems industry and must be capable of reading and understanding complex electrical diagrams and electronic schematics. Must be able to diagnose UPS system failures and repair to component level in some instances all digital & analog electronic control circuits of UPS systems and specified equipment using required test equipment (Std test equipment). Additional duties will require service of Variable Frequency Drives, Battery Diagnostic systems installation, repair & maintenance. May be required to work in the Electrical testing department when there are no field assignments available. Must be able to work independently, take direction from supervisor well, have initiative to complete the jobs assigned independently and have good communication and customer service skills.
