Repair Technician

Kerr, a subsidiary of Sybron Dental Specialities develops, manufactures, and markets a broad range of consumable dental products.  We have an opening for a Repair Technician in our Middleton manufacturing facility.  This position will troubleshoot and test all products using schematics, specialized test fixtures, and standard test equipment; such as meters and oscilloscopes. May also be involved in engineering development work, including assembly and testing of prototype circuits.

Responsibilities include: Troubleshoot to component level and test units returned for repair. Pack and prepare for shipping. Complete paperwork required for customer service and shipping department. Offer assistance to production department in troubleshooting units in test. Inform engineering department of potential reliability problems with units. Make suggestions for improvements to engineering and manufacturing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Qualified candidates are required to possess an Associates degree in an electrical engineering discipline or equivalent.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

-Ability to read blueprints and schematics -Good mechanical skills -Ability to use electronic test equipment -Must have knowledge of theory and math for digital and analog circuits for troubleshooting -Must have good phone and writing skills
