Regional Field Service Technician

Adaptive Micro Systems, LLC, one of the world’s premier manufacturers of LED Display Systems, is seeking a Regional Field Service Technician. The Regional Field Service Technician is responsible for the technical onsite support of AMS products, technical service training of AMS customers, and administration of company service and warranty policies within their assigned region.

 

Qualifications:5 years sign industry knowledge with LED sign expertise a plusTwo year technical degree minimumHands on technical abilities, logical troubleshooting, and electronics knowledgeHave A+ computer certification desired or willing to obtainAble to travel 85%-90% of weekdays (some weekend travel), throughout US, Canada, and Mexico Able to use various data gathering equipment effectively in root cause analysis: laptop, oscilloscope, meters, digital media, etc.Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsHigh integrity, respect for customers and confidentiality, sound judgment, and decision making skillsAble to lift 40lb unaidedBe able to work in bucket trucks, lifts, ladders, on billboards, in manufacturing plants, or outside, at various heightsComputer proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft OfficeAble to speak in public to small groups for technical training at seminars, in the customers’ businesses, onsite, or at AMS formal technical training

 Responsibilities:Provide industrial field and phone support for company dealers, oem customers, and end-users for hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issuesTravel to customers sites experiencing extraordinary operational issues to evaluate, assess, and resolve the issue to return the product to full functionalityInstallation project management, coordinating of installation, scheduling and travel coordination, organization of necessary parts and tools required for jobs. Scheduling site surveys as required On-site installations to include: wiring, mounting hardware, hanging displays, powering the displays, connection, communication and testing.Test beta tests of AMS products in the field as required
