Quality Control Director (Components)

Job Purpose:

Manage the Quality Control department  supporting worldwide operations. Responsibilities for all quality metrics company wide and implementing inspections / testing on raw electronic components.

 

Essential Job Duties: Provide daily QC direction and oversee the QC department; responsible for 8+ QC technicians world wide.Manage and develop Test Engineering requirements for electronic components to be shipped, raw material components.Respond to field failure reports and provide the root cause analysis and propose corrective action.Manage a cross – functional inventory report on electronic components for the purchasing department. Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy to achieve World Class Quality Excellence. Organize and design an internal quality metric to be used company wide. Maintain and monitor the Approved Vender List and conduct vendor audits.



Job Qualifications And Experience

* Ability to make detailed decisions on raw material for electronic customers at a fast pace using their engineering background. 

* 5-7 years or more directly related to QC in the electronic industry

* Excellent writen and oral communication skills and be able to interact across all levels of the organization, sales, legal, security and finance.

* Good skills in testing and troubleshooting electronic / raw material.

* Strong hands on electronic skills.

* Excellent customer and service skills.

*  Developing continuous improvement in the QC department.  





 



Education

* Minimum BSEE degree preferred



 

Certifications that would be a Plus

*Six Sigma Black Belt Training

*Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)

*Total Quality Management (TQM)

*Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

*Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

*ISO internal auditor



 

Software Requirements

*MS Office

*Excel
