Candidates must be flexible to work all shifts, including working required overtime and holidays to help department meet demands. Our facility operates 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. Must be willing to train for and perform other tasks as needs are presented. Must abide by all safety guidelines and work instructions of Honeywell. All new employees are expected to work directly with a trainer and to follow this trainer's instruction until proficiency/qualification is achieved. Additional requirements of all employees include active participation in Honeywell Structured Safety Process, Honeywell Operating System, and continuing personal learning and training.
SUMMARY:
To help facilitate production through traffic control of solvents and chemicals, metals, inventories, and received materials. This includes hazardous waste and recycled scrap metals as per the Honeywell Purchasing and Traffic Control Manual. Incumbent is required to fully understand and follow the trafficking flow requirements, system and equipment from receiving through proper inventory control methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
Daily (Trafficking Functions) that includes the act of receiving, logging, and the staging of merchandise received. Breakdown of required paperwork for filing and/or distribution to various departments. Coordinating the distribution/accumulation of received merchandise, issued (dispo) inventories, hazardous wastes, special scrap metals, and recycled solvents at specified times and locations in order to support production.Perform (Computer Transactions) for inventory control of supplies, metals, solvents and chemicals, hazardous waste, and special scrap metals. Search and identification of all materials received in order to facilitate distribution. Maintain appropriate communication thru email correspondence. Staying informed and up-to-date via the Honeywell Intranet.Maintain (Inventory Control) of supplies, metals, and raw solvent/chemicals. Supply production thru JIT disposition of inventories. To include the distillation of specified chemicals for production in order to minimize the use of raw material. Control of Hazardous Waste by accumulating, handling, proper storage, and shipment in coordination with EH&S to comply with all regulations.(Property Maintenance) of vehicles and equipment for the department. Includes controlled documents and cleanliness of work areas. Some items included are:Trucks, Hand Trucks, Forklifts, Push Carts, Scales, Drum Dollies, Pallet Jacks, Computers, Roll-Up Doors, Dock Ramps and Restraint Systems, Copy Machine, Waste Compactor and Chemical Distillation Equipment.(Knowledge and Adherence to Guidelines and Policies) established by Safety Procedures or defined thru Honeywell Policy and local, state and federal governments. These are to be followed at all times, during job assignments and the use of vehicles and equipment, and the handling/storage of hazardous raw materials and waste disposition. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry, database experience (SAP) preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Familiar with inventory control methods/procedures
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Ability to obtain forklift license. Requires a valid drivers license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routing reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work environment is very loud. Ear protection is available. Exposure to the following environmental conditions exists in this job: Work near moving mechanical parts; Fumes or airborne particles; Toxic or caustic chemicals; Vibration; Outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold/heat; Risk of electrical shock is minimal.
