Product Engineering & PWB Layout ManagerAircraft Group, MOOG Inc. Salt Lake Operations, Salt Lake City, Utah The Product Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering Manager has functional responsibility for all product engineers and printed wiring board (PWB) layout engineers located at the Salt Lake City facility.  The manager is responsible for applying Design to Cost (DTC) and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) processes for all Aircraft Group electronics products in development as well as Salt Lake Operations products whether or not they are electronics.  This department consists of a staff of approximately 20 engineers and technicians.  Scope of the work:The Product Engineering and manufacturing Engineering Manager will be accountable for the following:  Overall transition to production for all new products where Salt Lake Operations has design authority. Transition production from one site to another for all Aircraft Group electronics products. Application of DFMA and DTC processes to all new development efforts at Salt Lake Operations (where SLO has design authority) and Aircraft Group electronics regardless of where they are designed. Engineering support to Product Build & Delivery for the development and continued improvement of production processes as well as troubleshooting support. Engineering support to Product Service for troubleshooting returns. PWB layout support to design engineering for Aircraft Group electronics. Budgetary responsibility for staffing, expense and capital budgets for the department. Day-to-day leadership of the department staff to include career development, training, assignments, recruiting and capacity planning. Desired qualifications: BSEE  with  8 -10 years experience or MSEE with 5 to 8 years experience Experience managing a team with hiring and budgetary responsibilities Experience with the design, production and service of aerospace electronicsFamiliar with FAA OEM Type Certificate and FAA Repair Station requirementsQualified applicants are encourged to send their resumes to amartinez2@moog.com
