The Fulfillment and Logistics Director is responsible for leading and managing all order fulfillment functions including order pulling, inspection, packing and shipping and logistics functions including receiving, stocking and system logistics.Establishes and maintains effective relationships with suppliers, co-workers, staff and other business contacts. Effectively leads department. Represents the company in a professional manner. Leader in development of results oriented strategies for operational efficiencies. Supervision, training and performance management to develop and manage operations department programs. Coaches and provides detailed guidance and support for operations staff. Ensures staff are provided with tools needed to be successful in their job. Excellent trainer. Develops and maintains productive work teams, including hiring qualified personnel. Sets and tracks goals. Supports and participates in the total quality process. Acts as team player/leader. Maintains all confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements. Ensures department responsibilities such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and staff safety are maintained.Knows documented procedures that relate to job duties. Establishes and revises procedures. Communicates with suppliers as needed. Actively in professional self-development. Arrives on time and works the hours needed to fulfill assigned responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supervising the fulfillment management staff.
Education & Experience
Degree from four-year college or university in operations, logistics, industrial distribution or business and minimum ten years work experience in an approved field and minimum five years management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualifications, Skills & Certifications Proficient and knowledgeable in warehouse management systems. Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and teaching skills.Ability to present complex topics effectively to senior management and business contacts. Analyzes the impact of decisions before execution. PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to read and understand monitor screen and printed reports. Able to work with minimum supervision and make independent judgments.Excellent verbal and written communication and able to communicate with people at all levels. Demonstrates a positive attitude toward self and others. Detailed and thorough in work habits with multi-tasking ability. Ability and desire to be highly confidential. Desire, ability, and personality to deal directly with customers and vendors and represent Mouser Electronics in a professional manner. Appropriate grooming, attire and professionalism to interface directly with business contacts and represent the company. Outgoing and mature personality. Neat and legible handwriting. Available for overtime and weekends if required. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and good driving record.
