Three Springs, Inc. started in 1985, in Huntsville, AL is a haven for youth that need a place where they can feel accepted in all their struggles, challenged to grow, and nurtured in their strengths. Three Springs, Inc. has successfully helped boys and girls for the past 23 years.  We have three locations throughout Alabama with facilities in Madison, Owens Cross Roads, and Courtland. 

Three Springs of Madison is a medium risk secure facility operated exclusively for Alabama DHR/DYS. It provides comprehensive, challenging, and safe services for adolescent males ages 13 to 18. Three Springs of Madison focuses on maladaptive behaviors and provides rehabilitative services including cognitive behavioral therapy through individual, group, and family counseling. The program utilizes a highly effective therapeutic adventure programming as well as Positive Peer Culture (PPC) therapy to emphasize values and team building.

Three Springs of New Beginnings, located in Owens Cross Roads, AL, is a residential treatment program that serves adolescent girls, ages 12-18, who experience significant behavioral disorders. The girls are sent to our program by DHR, DYS and through private referrals. The girls have to complete our program. We have a private school on campus where the residents can continue their education. We offer group and individual counseling as well as basic life skills training. We utilize the Positive Peer Culture model at our programs. The program is very structured and during the day the girls will go to school, complete chores, participate in therapy sessions, participate in recreational activities and learn life skills.

Three Springs of Courtland is an intensive residential treatment program for boys ages 12-18. The program offers two distinct therapeutic services: One provides treatment for boys with severe emotional and behavioral disorders, while the other provides treatment for boys who exhibit inappropriate sexual behavior. Treatment at Three Springs of Courtland focuses on the “here and now” issues of an adolescent’s life and helps residents to understand proper roles and boundaries. Our therapeutic community is dedicated to youth who have developed self-defeating and destructive ways of trying to meet their own needs.

Job Duties

Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Youth Care Worker supervises and assists students in all program related activities using professionally acceptable methods and techniques.

Job RequirementsMust have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have two years of experience working with delinquent youth or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to write documentation in student records, routine reports, and correspondence.
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and student records.
Must be able to speak effectively before groups of students and peers.
Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
