The University of Vermont's Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHWB) seeks applicants for the position of Triage Nurse in the Student Health/Medical Clinic. We are looking for an experienced Nurse with
excellent people skills and knowledge of the developmental and health issues of young adults. Primary responsibilities will be providing triaging support for the clinic through phone and walk in care. Provide
skilled nursing care to clinic patients; assist clinicians in patient procedures. Determine priority for scheduling appointments. Answer health related questions, perform screening of patients, obtain brief
patient histories, and work with electronic health records system. Provide post-appointment education; coordinate patient health care services with clinical coordinator. You will work with a wonderful,
University-age group of patients and be part of a collegial staff that prides itself on providing outstanding care.
Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and two to four years experience required, or an equivalent combination. Current Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Experience in triage by phone and walk in. Effective communication skills and ability to interact in a non-judgmental, positive, helpful manner. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality required. Commitment to
