Telecommunications Manager

Join the BCM Information Technology Team as we grow to build an integrated outpatient clinic and hospital designed from the ground up to deliver the best medical care. This role plays an integral role in the telecommunication services implementation for the new Baylor Clinic and Hospital. Further, this position manages the Telecommunications Services staff to include performance evaluations, providing work directives in both routine and project demands and coordinating training needs. Plans and organizes procedures and prioritizes workflow to ensure efficient operation of the office. Coordinates, schedules and implements telecommunications services to departments.

DUTIES:
*Develops, monitors and maintains project phases and schedules specifying major activities, compliance and time frames.
*Disseminates information to end users as well as internal resources for daily and monthly reports.
*Interfaces with vendor personnel to ensure timely delivery of telecommunications.
*Maintains accurate inventory of relevant BCM owned assets.
*Manages departmental request for cabling infrastructure to be installed or repaired.
*Maintains scheduled deadlines and project variance procedures.
*Reconciles database discrepancies between billing system and the Nortel CS2100 switching system; ensures accuracy in each database.
*Reports on potential and/or existing problem areas and proposes solutions.
*Maintains and updates the internal policy and procedure manual and for end user training.
*Manages the Repair Center by reviewing logs, establishing emergency procedures and maintaining summary report data.
*Develops cutover strategies coupled with user training and management of cable installation.
*Maintains professional working relationship with departmental communication coordinators and BCM customers; conducts customer surveys and resolves service-related problems.
*Conducts analyses of BCM customer needs, identifies system applications, evaluates equipment and services alternatives, and makes recommendations to user groups.
*Coordinates and monitors telephone service repair and work orders by reviewing logs, establishing emergency procedures and maintaining summary report data.
*Promotes and encourages staff to provide great customer services to all our customers, both internal and external.
*Ensures that all members of Telecommunications are being appropriately informed, supported, trained, guided and evaluated. Constantly re-assesses the allocation of staffing resources to meet the changing needs.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent education and work experience.

Required: Five years of related work experience, with at least two years experience in a telecommunications service center. Requires experience in project management and in making management presentations.
Preferred: Experience in a hospital setting and experience with Nortel CS2100, Call Pilot, Contact Center, MCS5100.

Working Conditions:
*Will carry a cell phone/pager 7x24 to respond and resolve system outages/issues.
