We are currently seeking an Education Assistant to work in a therapeutic educational program. Associates degree required, Bachelors in psychology, social work or occupational therapy preferred. State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Special Education Program Aide or Certified occupational therapy assistant licensure required. The Education Program Assistant is responsible for assisting and supporting the teachers and students in creating an environment that is sensitive to the varying needs of each child. The assistant will offer suggestions on lessons and activities based on the individual needs of children. The Educational Program Assistant infuses sensory activities and projects into the daily-program. Responsibilities include supporting the teacher with individual and groups of students throughout the day. Must be able to work as part of a team. COTA's grad students in OT/SW/Psych are encouraged to apply.
