Job Description
· The scope of responsibility includes project management, process analysis, system design, implementation and staff management.
· The Manager EAP/Decision Support/Finance works with all levels of operations and IT staff to ensure the quality of the Epic systems and delivery of top quality customer service.
· The Epic Manager of EAP/Decision Support/Finance must work closely with multiple user groups including but not limited to: the implementation project team, all facility charge master managers and analysts, PFS and SCCA billing offices, site coordinators, and external vendors. 
· Works with software vendors to implement and support purchased tools and applications.
· Coordinate with project resources including Charge Master/Decision Support/Finance, Subject Matter Experts, Project Team Resources, Epic resources, Site Coordinators, and others to evaluate current state processes.
· Coordinates the effort to redesign processes and design the Epic EAP and information exchanges with Decision Support and Finance to optimize workflow and application design. 
· Provide functional and workflow expertise to staff. 25%
· Plan and manage implementation projects for timely completion. 
· Leads team projects, including the coordination of a diverse group of Medicine personnel as well as other operational and IT teams and vendors.
· Track and regularly report on progress and obstacles. 25%
· Coordinates organizational training needs associated with the development of the Epic EAP and data exchanges. 
· Coordinate training resources to ensure workflow is appropriately analyzed and documented, needs are assessed, and curriculum developed. 
· Works with training resources and coordinates efforts to ensure all affected Medicine employees are properly trained.  15%
· Actively manage user relationships to analyze, plan, prioritize and follow up project work and new system build.
· Evaluate and implement user requests.
· Ensure that staff efforts are focused on user priorities. 
· Follow up with users and management to confirm that work has been performed as expected. 10%
· Work with staff to document system setup and policies. 5%
· Promote and support professional staff development. 5%
· Ensure compliance with security and confidentiality requirements. 5%
· Implement, monitor and refine user training and ongoing improvement processes. 5%
· Participate in Epic’s good install program by becoming certified in the HB Application. 5%
· General direction provided by the Associate Administrator of Medicine for the Epic Resolute & ADT Billing Project Department.
· Must be able to lead, organize and positively influence implementation team members and others.
· Assign, direct and review work.
· Manage projects for the EAP application and financial data exchange implementations.
· Suggest hiring, firing, reclassification recommendations, salary adjustment recommendations, handle complaints and grievances.

· Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field.
· Demonstrated system implementation and project management skills
· Minimum 4 years experience working with Healthcare, Finance/Decision Support and related applications.
· Proven track record of taking on progressively more responsibility and successful projects.
· 3 to 5 years experience with charge master components for a large, complex healthcare organization.
· Project management/Conversion management experience. 

 Desirable:
· Knowledge of Epic or other HealthCare systems
· Supervisory experience and mentoring experience
· Familiarity with developing and delivering training programs
