ICF International seeks a Deputy Director for the National Child Care Information and Technical Assistance Center (NCCIC) project within the Early Education Services line of business. NCCIC, a service of the Child Care Bureau (CCB) is a national information clearinghouse and technical assistance (TA) center with the primary purpose of providing comprehensive child care information resources and technical assistance services to State and Territory Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Grantees and other early care and education stakeholders. The position is full-time and based in Fairfax, VA.

The Deputy Director will guide the day-to-day operations and quality assurance for the NCCIC project. The Deputy will liaison with the Child Care Bureau, TA partners and the national child care community. The Deputy Director will work with managers to develop and monitor work plans, balance resources and monitor performance against goals and contract requirements. A critical component of the role is to ensure quality assurance of written products, including the annual state plan summary, brochures, fact sheets, child care bulletins and other written materials. The Deputy Director will take a pro-active approach to problem-solving and communicating information internally and with the Child Care Bureau client.

A Master's Degree in early childhood or a related field, 10+ years of project management experience required with experience of the early care and education field strongly preferred. Experience working in government contracting is a plus. The candidate must possess exemplary leadership, interpersonal, collaborative, managerial, and written communication skills; demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced team environment; show commitment to quality assurance; be attentive to timelines; and be able to plan and manage multiple, demanding tasks under critical timeframes.
