Clinical Office Manager, Student Health Service
Under general supervision, apply professional organization and management practices to the clinical office functions of the Student Health Service. Manage front desk operations and medical records area. Provide direct supervision to patient service representatives and student workers in their responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
Manage front-desk operations, orientation, training, and scheduling of patient service representatives and student workers. The Clinical Office Manager is responsible for ensuring adequate front desk staffing and provides back-up coverage for all front desk functions as needed. Ensures exceptional customer service and quality customer care. Assist clinical coordinator with patient flow management and provider scheduling. Manage data entry, storage, retrieval and confidentiality of patient medical records. Ensure area conformance on HIPAA standards and methods of compliance. Coordinate policies, procedures, and overall functions between clinical and business operations as necessary. Serve as the Student Health Service liaison to human resources. Convey repair and maintenance requests to Facilities Services. Order and maintain adequate clinical office supplies. Manage and delegate clerical tasks as needed.
Required:
The ideal candidate will have completed a bachelor's degree and have previous managerial experience in a medial setting. Significant, closely related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Computer competency and knowledge of Microsoft software is essential. This individual must possess strong leadership and excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment. Effective decision making, effective written and oral communication skills are essential. Candidate must also possess good customer service and social interaction skills. Professional work ethic compatible with and supportive of Marquette University's mission is also required.
