Warehouse Manager – New Posting- San Antonio

The News Group is seeking experienced warehouse management professional for San Antonio distribution and warehouse operation.  This position responsible for all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations for a large periodicals distribution center.

Responsibilities:

·  Shipping, receiving, inventory, order filling,  and distribution operations

·  Ensure safe work environment for employees

·  Employee training and development

·  Organization and workflow process management

·  Scheduling of employees to meet production requirements

·  Supervision of hourly workforce and supervisory staff

·  Management reports and metrics tracking, managing and improving production metrics

·  Managing to meet and improve production quotas

·  Controlling labor cost

 Requirements:

·  Knowledge of Inventory Software Programs, ADP, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).

·  Must have 5+ years previous experience in warehouse management

·  Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus

·  Forklift certification required.

·  Ability to work a team environment and ability to manage staff through informal and/or formal corrective actions, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

·  Bachelor’s degree preferred

·  Ability to multi-task/ multiple priority environment

·  Ability to manage the operation to meet daily production goals and metrics

·  Knowledge of assembly line technologies and processes

·  Must have superior organizational skills

·  Process improvement aptitude

·  Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
