Right of Way Claims Agent

Koch Pipeline Company, L.P., as an owner, operator and investor, plays a key role in the American pipeline system that delivers energy that fuels society. Coordinate the right of way permitting process with entitues desiring to encroach upon KPL easements. Coordinate with local operations regarding encroachment and one-call issues; coordinate with project managers to determine right of way services. Enhance and maintain property line lists. Obtain permission from property owners and regulatory authorities for access/entry. Coordinate and settle damage claims, review title examination and negotiate rights of way. Execute the acquisition of real property rights. Job Requirements: Pipeline or utility right of way experience, 3-5 years Experience in title review and examination, 3-5 years Microsoft Office literate and the ability to learn proprietary programs and databases Ability to comprehend and modify right of way documents, determine legal descriptions and pull title documents on various property types General real estate and due diligence knowledge High school diploma or equivalent Position requires a valid driver's license Some travel is required up to 30% - including overnight travel. Preferred: Basic courses with the International Right of Way Associations' technical training curriculum College degree Experience in real estate and real property land rights Experience in claim settlements relating to property damage Familiarity with agency permitting Compensation/Benefits Competitive wages and benefits packages commensurate with experience.
