Quality Systems Manager

We are searching for a Quality Systems Manager to add to our growing team in Brownsville, Texas / Matamoros, MX.  Responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Lead effort to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification for Mexico operation Assume full responsibility as management representative for ISO audits Manage the internal auditing process to ensure the following occur: scheduling of internal audits, development and training of internal audit team, and the review of audit results to ensure program improvement Responsible for managing and the continuous improvement of the following quality systems: corrective action preventive action, document control, internal auditing, calibration of equipment, customer satisfaction survey Interfacing and scheduling of surveillance audits with ISO registrar Ability to provide in-depth training on ISO 9001 quality system requirements to staff level employees and others as needed Lead corrective action teams to provide timely corrective action plans for external/internal quality issues as required Implement quality management systems compliant to ISO 9001:2000 requirements Develop and maintain documented procedures that define activities required to meet ISO requirements Provides quality consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributorDevelop key performance indicators and metrics to ensure compliance to documented quality management systemImplement, track and report on supplier quality performance as required



To be successful in the role of Quality Systems Manager, your qualifications will include:

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

 

· Bachelors degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience in the quality field·Two to four years experience implementing and maintaining ISO quality management systems· Formal training on ISO 9001:2000 quality standard· Previous experience scheduling and performing internal audits· Must be able to create internal audit plans · Certified Quality Auditor by ASQ and/or lead auditor certification by RAB · Excellent organizational and communication skills· Proficient using personal computer and software such as MS Office· Prior experience working in a continuous process improvement environment required· Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus· Certified Quality Manager by ASQ is a plus
