In addition, the company owns and operates fuel and/or asphalt terminals in Alaska, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. In addition to sales offices in North America, the company has a sales presence in Italy, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Belgium to serve global customers.• Responsible for mechanical maintenance of bulk storage facility including truck loading rack;• Perform various tasks as requested by Terminal Manager including, but not limited to, mechanical troubleshooting; pump maintenance; valve maintenance; testing system safety devices; periodic inspections of tanks, valves, piping and other items related to a petroleum products facility; product quality control; and other technically oriented tasks;• Available to work shift work/rotating shifts as requested and be on-call rotations (nights and weekends, as required by number of personnel in rotation) to respond to terminal and other system “call-outs” as required;• Coordinate with schedulers for the delivery and receipt of petroleum products;• Computer data input and reconciliation of fuel tank inventories;• Manage small projects as required by Terminal Manager;• Self-starting, highly motivated individual requiring minimal supervision on day to day tasks;• Strong economic thinking and time management skills (manage overtime and travel costs related to job).EOE M/F/D/VJob Requirements: • Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge;• Ideal candidate will possess proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word);• Verbal and written communication skills; • Valid driver’s license;• Critical thinking and decision making skills; • Good organizational skills; • Willing to work shift work if necessary and be on-call for after hours support;• Ability to safely lift at least 50 lbs;• Ability to climb ladders and storage tank stairs (approximately 40’ in height) for maintenance and gauging operations; • Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions;• Reside within a 30 minute drive time of the facility; • Willing to wear fire retardant clothing, as required; • Willing to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, resperator, safety work boots) as required;• Occasional travel (with overnight stays) required for attending training, meetings and assisting other areas or locations.Experience PreferredIdeal candidates will have at least two years construction / maintenance experience in the refined products and/or oil and gas industry. Mechanical/Industrial trade school will be considered work experience. An basic understanding and knowledge of hydraulics, pumps. vaules (ball, gate, etc.), bulk storage terminal and pipeline operations.
