Position Purpose:

Ingredient Coordinator provides support to Distillers Dried Grains (DDG) Marketing Merchandiser.

As an Ingredient Coordinator, you would:
o Assist your Merchaniser with the purchase and transportation logistics of 375,000 tons of feed ingredients annually.
o Provide the administrative side of the transactions to ensure purchase and sales orders are entered into our operating system accurately and timely.
o Work with the logistics of the sales to ensure Customers receive products purchased as requested.
o Be responsible for accurate record keeping for purchases and sales contracts.
o Utilizing effective and efficient communications with Customers and Suppliers.
o Coordinate with the Accounting Department to insure timely processing of invoices / payments, reconciliation of receipt discrepancies and reconciliation of invoice discrepancies.
o Answer telephone calls.
o Handle Customer / Supplier requests & issues.
o Do general office administration.

 

Required (Basic) Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.  1+ years detailed office experience.

 

Required Competencies and Other Skills:

Proficient in MS Office applications and systems applications.
Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Skilled in problem solving and handling confrontation.
Energetic and team oriented.
Must demonstrate superior customer focus and possess excellent communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Understanding of transportation logistics.
Basic understanding of purchasing and costing functions.
Ability to answer and direct multiple phone calls.
Must be able to handle a high volume of telephone calls and emails.
Ability to make decisions concerning best fit logistics, accounting discrepancies and supplier invoice resolution.

 

Preferred Education/Experience:

Four year degree preferred.  3+ years of detailed office management experience.
