Project Manager - San Antonio

The Project Manager oversees and coordinates the planning and implementation of formwork projects and is responsible for managing the project productivity, costs, and safety consistent with company policies and practices.

Accountabilities

1.  Project Productivity – Works in cooperation with other district personnel to ensure the selection of the best forming system for a project. Ensures projects are supervised, and budgeted efficiently to contain costs and maximize profitability. 

2.  Supervision - Supervises the activity and development of relevant positions including detailers, estimators, project coordinators and material coordinators. The scope of this supervision includes work assignments, selection, training, evaluation, and discipline to ensure an effective and efficient organization.

3.  Customer Relations – Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.  Acts as liaison between Ceco and the customer with regard to billings, collections, changes, back-charges, and contractual issues. Involved in assessing market opportunities and developing new customers.

4.  Contracts – Works in cooperation with other district personnel to negotiate and execute sales contracts consistent with Ceco policies. Ensures terms, conditions, and schedules are favorable and in the company’s best interests.  Negotiates rental terms and vendor contracts.

5.  Safety – Monitors the overall safety issues on the project.  Assists in the analysis and detection of potential safety problems, including the use of fall prevention worksheets and pre-job mobilization meetings.  Performs safety audits and inspections as required.

6.  Estimating – Oversees the preparation of quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and project proposals. 

7.  Resource Management- Assists with the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules and promotes their efficient use,

8.  Other – Performs special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.



 Position Requirements – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·  Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field and 3 + years experience in concrete formwork and frame drafting, design and estimating or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·  5+ years experience budgeting, forecasting and scheduling materials and equipment and supervising jobsite productivity and personnel.

·  Experience developing and delivering sales presentations and negotiating contracts preferably in the construction industry.

·  Familiar with human resources methodology regarding staffing, training, coaching and evaluating performance.

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas clearly verbally and in writing, and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the company, as well as customers/vendors.

·  Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, material deliveries and jobsite productivities.

·  Advanced PC skills with experience in MS office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.  Data management software experience is a plus.

·  Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.

·  In union shop districts, must have an understanding of the collective bargaining process.
