Insurance Claims Specialist or Insurance Customer Service Representative

VERY IMPORTANT: All applicants MUST hold a Texas insurance adjuster's license OR Texas property & casualty insurance license.     EXCITING OPPORTUNITY IN HOUSTON!  We are a rapidly growing insurance carrier based out of Southwest Houston/Galleria Area catering to home commercial property insurance clients in Texas.  We are looking to add several members to our Claims and Customer Service departments who have relevant insurance experience.    Claims Specialist job duties will entail: Taking FNOL from insureds or agents Reviewing client coverages Notifying appropriate adjuster of the claim and providing supporting documentation Communicating with insureds and agents regarding claims and providing updates Reviewing adjuster reports and assuring accuracy of pricing Submitting report to department head for final review Updating client file in software system Dealing with underwriters, claims adjusters, mortgage companies, agents and insureds directly for insurance compliance issues Coordinating property inspections and reviewing inspection reports And much more...   Required attributes and experience for Claims Specialist: Minimum 2 years of claims experience Must have active adjuster's license Must have a general idea of construction pricing Prior construction experience a plus Some college experience   Customer Service Representative duties will entail: Working in our call center Taking client/agent phone calls and updating insured's records Taking phone payments from customers and/or agents Mailing policy forms Dealing with underwriters, claims adjusters, mortgage companies, agents and insureds directly for insurance compliance issues Working with team members and management to better serve our clients Providing product support and updates to agents And much more...   Required attributes and experience for Customer Service Representatives: Must have an active P&C insurance license Recent property and casualty insurance experience within an insurance agency, wholesale broker or insurance carrier Experience with homeowners and/or commercial insurance Highschool diploma at least   All applicants must be honest, hard-working, well-spoken/written, punctual, work well with others, be able to multi-task, work well in a high-paced environemnt, type at least 50 wpm and be comfortable with using the Internet, email and MS applications such as Word and Excel.   Hours of operation are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday with a 1 hour lunch break between 11am and 1pm.  We are in a professional atmosphere so business attire is required.    Compensation/Benefits: Compensation is competitive but will vary on experience.  Health benefits, sick/personal days and paid vacation are available and a 401k plan will be developed for 2009.  First review will occur after 90 days and annually thereafter.   If you are looking for an opportunity to make a footprint in the future of an insurance company, this is it!  We are looking to hire immediately so apply today!
