Contact Email: Apply by Email Fax: 801-703-2702 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Installation/Maintenance/Repair Experience: 2+ to 5 Years       Job Description    SimplexGrinnell is a recognized leader in the manufacture, sale and service of state-of-the-art monitor and control systems for fire alarm, integrated security (access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm), communications, nurse call, portable fire extinguishers, suppression and sprinkler fire protection systems.  Our continued growth has produced a need for a Fire Alarm/Security System Technician in our Salt Lake City UT office. Salary Range:  Commensurate W/Experience Responsibilities:  Perform on site trouble shooting/repair, programming/installation, testing and maintenance of Fire Alarm, Access Control, Security, CCTV and Nurse Call systems.  Must be technically proficient, willing to train and be customer service oriented.  This position is primarily located in Salt Lake City Utah, with responsibility to Southern Idaho, Western Wyoming and Eastern Nevada. Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Two year degree in electronics or two years on the job electronics experience.Fire Alarm and/or security experience highly desirable.Familiarity with testing and inspection equipment including multi-meters.Able to lift 40 lb., climb ladders and work in difficult locations such as ducts, crawl spaces, on scaffolding, etc.Working knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems.Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.Ability to pass drug test and security/background check.Excellent customer service skills.Must have the ability to work independently and with limited supervision.Ability to read and understand schematics and software systems programs. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of at least 2 major brands of fire alarm and/or security systems.NICET certification or the Ability to obtain NICET certification and appropriate licenses required by National, State and local codes. Only candidates who possess the above minimum qualifications will be considered. SimplexGrinnell offers excellent compensation and benefits program, including medical, dental, educational assistance, employee stock plan and matching 401(K) plan.For consideration, please send your resume to hwunderlich@simplexgrinell.com or fax to 801-703-2702. SimplexGrinnell is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
