Site Safety Manager

Serving international contractors, power suppliers and energy-intensive industries with innovative solutions, Hamon Custodis provides superior utility and industrial chimneys and chimney services. These mega-projects involve designing and building large concrete and steel structures in excess of 300 meters in height located throughout North America and the Caribbean.

We are currently seeking a Site Safety Manager for our US operations based at the project site listed above. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting site management with all aspects of the day to day activities of construction on large power projects. Responsibilities include: Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with project management, corporate health and safety and field supervisory personnel. Work with supervision to ensure uniform application of safety requirements. Conduct regular field Safety Audits and interface with customer safety department. Update OSHA 300 and first aid logs and summaries. Manage and enforce subcontractor and vendor safety programs. Provide regulatory interpretations and advice about compliance with safety and health laws, codes, regulations and standards. Manage compliance with Industrial Hygiene requirements. Assist Operating Management in development and implementation of site safety plans and enhancements to safety and health policies, procedures, and standards. Perform other functions, as directed. Minimum Qualifications: 4+ years industrial and/or construction safety experience. Working knowledge of policies, regulations, specifications, and requirements governing health and safety, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies. Demonstrate technical and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures. Good interpersonal, communication skills. Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work in a team environment. Desired Qualifications: Bachelors degree in occupational safety and health-related field. Hamon Custodis offers a competitive pay package.
