The Material Management III assists in the day to day operations of the material management office such as placing material orders without the direct involvement of the Material Management Director.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Placing miscellaneous material orders without the direct involvement of the Senior Material Management Director(between $50 - $10,000) such as electrical equipment and supplies, telecommunication equipment and supplies, security systems, computers and hardware products. Preparing purchase orders, soliciting bid proposals, and reviewing requisitions for goods and services. Researching and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history. Analyzing price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices. Negotiating or renegotiating and administering contracts with suppliers. Monitoring shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the even of problems trace shipments and follow up on undelivered goods. Maintaining and reviewing computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance and inventories.Required Experience

Requirements:A B.A. in business, accounting, economics, or related degree is preferred but not required;This position requires at least four (4) years of purchasing, administrative, and/or accounting experience;Attention to detail in completing work tasks;Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills;Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel and Word;Managing one's own time in order to obtain equipment under strict deadline.Qualified candidates should apply online with resume and salary requirements to:M.C.
