Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) HVAC CONTRACT BRANCH MANAGER Description: A very modern contracting company in the Milwaukee area is looking for a professional Branch Manager to lead their team! MUST HAVE SOLID COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL HVAC AND PLUMBING BACKGROUND! Duties of Branch Manager: Manage the estimating and coordination of commercial, industrial and institutional mechanical projects ranging in size. Oversee all phases of projects including estimating, sales, start-up, purchasing, change orders, billings, and close out. Carry out duties for your area to achieve growth of 10% per year while maintaining, safety, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and profits. Lead personnel development by example and by nurturing management talent in current employees as well as those brought in. Lead the sales effort for the department and continually prospect for new customers. Provide leadership to take charge of challenging projects, encourage teamwork, and supply the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve company goals and objectives. Responsible for managing accounts directly and/or through subordinates. Position reports to the Customer Service Vice President. Responsibilities: Know all basic requirements for orientation, pre-planning tasks, hazard recognition and elimination, and government compliance. Investigate and document all accidents. Continuously learn programs for all skills required, in addition to the 22 OSHA skill sets. Learning is defined as gaining an understanding or skill by study or application. Interview and hire prospective employees. Perform appraisals for all managers and office employees reporting to you. Coordinate day-to-day department activity. Make final decisions on manpower assignments and carryout selling of new customers for niche market. Provide leadership to take charge of challenging projects, encourage teamwork, and supply the energy and enthusiasm to achieve company goals and object. Education/Experience: Four year related degree or Journeyman background required. 10 years work experience in mechanical HVAC or plumbing contracting, engineering, construction management or representing the construction industry.
