Construction Project Engineer

 

MRJ Constructors, a progressive mid-sized construction company, is currently seeking candidates for a full time Project Engineer position with a minimum of 3 years experience. 

 

MRJ Constructors, located at 1400 Airport Way South, Seattle, is a mid-sized Commercial, Industrial, Tenant Improvement, Renovation, Multifamily and Residential contractor.   Our focus is in the private market providing full service-preconstruction and construction to our clients.  Project size range to $12,000,000 single projects.

Candidate experience:

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications: Bachelors degree Construction management or Engineer graduate Plan and specification reading and interpretation. Basic experience in quantity take-offs and estimating Computer experience in Microsoft programs Any experience in Timberline Estimating program or Suretrak Scheduling program is preferred. An understanding of reviewing shop drawings and submittals for owner/architect approval Have some experience in the construction industry

 

Position responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work directly below the Project Manager on several projects and will be responsible for: Estimating and quantity takeoff support. Generating Request for Information and expediting field questions. Preparation, review and expediting shop drawings and submittals. Providing on-site and offsite support to the Project Manager and the Project Superintendent during the entire project process. Creating and maintaining logs for Request for Information, Submittals and Change Orders. Preparing and distributing meeting minutes.
