strong sun experience, certified is a plus, sun10 needed as well as the
veritas experience, large environment 500 plus unix servers at GE.
Unix L3
* Hours of Operation: First Shift
* Job Description: Expert technical and problem solving skills.
System design skill; ability to translate user requirements into system
design specifications. Verbal and written communication and
interpersonal skills required. Ability to program in an administrative
language (Tk, Perl, a shell). Veritas Volume Manager experience
required. Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking Veritas NetBackup, VCS, & LDAP
experience a plus. Performs system analysis and tuning.
* Skill Sets:
* Solaris OS
* O/S: 2.6, 8, 9, 10
* Services: User/Group Management, Printers, Bind, Jumpstart,
NIS, Solaris Domain Management
* Scripts: bash, ksh, perl
* Solaris Hardware
* High-End: Solid background and work history on support,
troubleshooting and building E15k & E25k.
* Midrange: Experience/Exposure to Sun Fire 6800
* Veritas Volume Manager 3.2 - 4.0
* Veritas Cluster 3.5 - 4.0
* SAN & NAS Storage exposure/knowledge
