Join Amazon as the Two-Pizza Team Leader (2PTL) of the Customer Reviews team in Amazon.com’s Community group. A Two-Pizza Team Leader is a Software Development Manager, leading software efforts that effect multiple areas of the business with a special focus on the customer experience. As a 2PTL you will have business and technical ownership of mission critical systems that manage content and you will create compelling experiences for more than 81MM active customer accounts. You’ll lead a talented and nimble team of engineers to create innovative software that helps customers make informed decisions about products and generates new and interesting content. Responsibilities include direct management of engineers, creation of functional specs, project management for software within the team, process and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, and management of resources across teams. Successful candidates will be highly quantitative, passionate about customer experience, inventive and have a strong track record of delivery.   Software engineering (process, architecture, algorithms, data structures) Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving Business analysis, modeling, and management Team leadership and development skills Project management Financial understanding (e.g. NPV, IRR, etc) Business management - monitoring, managing and evolving owned features, keeping on top of relevant developments in the industry Proven ability to convert qualitative judgments into quantitative systems A high degree of pragmatism being both a thinker and a do-er; we want to use technology to solve real-world problems expediently, not play architecture astronaut.Experience: Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, Computer Science strongly preferred Minimum 4 years of software development experience Minimum 4 years of people management experience Minimum 3 years of project management experience Minimum 3 years of business management experience
