Product Manager
Job Description
The Skoot Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also aligns Skoot with the company's overall technical vision.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Work with executive management to define the Skoot product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
2. Deliver Marketing Requirements Documents (MRD), Use Cases, and Business Cases with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
3. Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
4. Run beta programs with early-stage products and feature upgrades.
5. Understand how Skoot features and functionality alignswith competition and make recommendations to differentiate Skoot from competition.
6. Demonstrate strong leadership and mentor and collaborate with program/project managers.
Required Experience and Knowledge:
1. Minimum of 7 years experience as a Product Manager.
2. Demonstrated success defining and launching commercially successful technology products.
3. Three years of experience developing web applications, Cloud Computing, or distributed applications.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Bachelor's degree (advanced degree in Computer Science orBusiness preferred).
6. Technical background, with experience developing in Java,XML, MySQL, SQL.
7. Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
8. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teamswithout formal authority.
9. Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
